This painting was started on site at Garland Nursery in Corvallis, getting the image in watercolour.  In the studio I collaged small pieces of other hand painted watercolour onto the painting.  It is a time consuming process, very much like piecing together a puzzle except that you make the puzzle pieces yourself.
