Biography
Carolee Clark is a painter residing in Philomath, Oregon.
She works predominately in acrylic and watercolor favoring the subject matter of
landscape and figures.
Clark is a full time artist who continues to explore artistic
mediums, methods and subject matter. She says,
“Throughout my art career, I continue to explore new ideas,
push myself to paint with bolder colors, more dynamic strokes, interesting
pattern or exciting compositions. I strive to make my work stimulating
and bold.”
Originally from Canada, Clark grew up in an artistic
household watching her mother paint.
“Although I
have been drawing for as long as I can remember, my mother gave me a small
set of watercolors when I was a young adult which unlocked the world of
color to me. In the early nineties, I began to pursue my love of painting
more seriously.”
Clark has exhibited in both Canada and the
United States in numerous juried shows. Her work is held in private
collections all across the United States, in Canada, Mexico and Europe.
